Guido~ness

I took Guido-the-cat to the groomers this weekend.

I had them put soft claws on him so our new house will be protected from the Guido Claw.

Soft claws (for those who do not know) is an alternative to declawing.

They're colored (or clear) caps that slide over their claws and are glued on.

I snapped a few pics of Guido and the indignity he endured.

He did great but protested a bit when his back claws were worked on.

He mrowrrrrrrrrrrd really loudly at the nice lady groomer but didn't bite or attempt to scratch her.

Better her than me, that's all I gotta say.

I don't think I'd have survived it without fresh scars!!

How about some old Chicago Transit Authority?? "Poem 58"?? Great Guitar work and pretty 'Heavy'!! Their first album before they got sued for using the subway's name!! What a joke!

It's a long one, VERY cool and it's ROCK!!! For YOU!!!!

Enjoy KAT!!!!!

Damn!! Am I annoying you and chasing people away?? Well... except for Sue who is a sweetie!! I REALLY need to visit her!!

Have a great week and I'm excited about your new house!

Poor Guido! But yeah for the new house not getting Guidoed! (a new verb that I think applies perfectly).

And I'm sorry about your work situation, but like a good cat, I know you'll fall back on your feet.

We're currently in saving mode in case something like that should happen to us this year as well. It's just not looking like it'll be a good '08 for many people...

Sue: The groomer said, 6-8 weeks :)

Bob-a-roo: Thanks for the song!!

Laochie: He is :)

catwoman: Guidoed. I like it!! :D
Smart to save up during this turbulent economy time...I've sent out multiple resumes but haven't gotten a single word back.

Aafrica: so far its wonderful! Guido doesn't act like anything is different. He walks normally and hasn't tried to bite them off. I think they are going to work, famously.

I am thinking of the claw covrs too. Please let me know how your cat tolerates it.

Slacker!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

Katsoup: Ohhh Welcome!! I'm glad you finally found me, again!
As for the soft claws, Guido acts like nothing is out of the norm with them over his claws. He seems quite content and so far they've all stayed on. He no longer scratches at things in the night.

Bob-a-roo: hehehehe--ayup!!

Dragonlady: I am much impressed with the soft claws. :)
*scritch scritchessss!*

Bob-a-roo: Dude, you should be in bed!! I haven't gotten to the fever, sore teeth yet. Hope I don't get that bad. But I'm tired. Terribly tired and find I must lay down all the time...and sore muscles. Ugh.
Being sick, sucks, doesn't it??!

Crap! I had no idea you could have this DONE! My husband and I are still licking our wounds from early January - and we didn't even do the back feet. They have worked wonderfully, though.

Jane: LOL!! I tried about 2 years ago to put some on Guido, myself. He promptly encircled my hand with his mouth and eyeballed me with the look of, "Do we have an understanding??? Or must I CHOMP!"
