Rainy Tuesday
Grey, drizzly Tuesday.
This makes for a long day as I love to spend my lunch times at work walking Portland streets snapping the occasional picture with my iPhone.
It amuses me and makes me feel like I've lived a bit of my day apart from being a work drone.
My work day starts at 6:AM and ends at 4:30PM.
On days like today I start my day in the dark and end it in the dark.
The only bit of sunlight I get is my lunch walks.
*sigh*
I guess I'll find sunshine wallpaper and bask in virtual light for today.

Chuck” Stars Take Part in Subway Challenge
It’s not only the fans of NBC’s “Chuck” that have embraced the “Eat a sub, save ‘Chuck’” campaign, it’s the stars of the series as well.
According to SciFi Wire, actors Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin led over 400 UK fans to a local Subway for lunch. Levi and Baldwin were in the UK for the Starfury conventions T1 event in Birmingham.
Levi, who described the show as “on the good side of the bubble,” even got behind the counter and helped out the besieged staff of the outlet, staying until the very last fan was served.
They’ve done their part, now it’s your turn. Head to Subway today for lunch or dinner and support “Chuck.”
The season finale of “Chuck” airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST.

Weekened Jumbleness
It was a busy strange weekend.
Thursday evening I brought MiniWarrior to his Tae-Kwon-Do lesson. He was sparring with a classmate, threw a kick and landed back down on the side of his foot.
He fell to the ground holding his foot and grimacing in pain and was unable to walk on it.
His Dad was at the class watching MiniWarrior and rushed to his side to help carry him back to the table so we could check his foot out.
There was much concern as MiniWarrior had broken his foot last summer--and we thought he might have rebroken it.
MiniWarriors Dad carried him to my truck then followed behind us in his car to the clinic to have the foot X-rayed.
Good news is it wasn't his previously broken foot and he didn't break any bones in his other foot.
Bad news is he is done with Tae-Kwon-Do for a month as it was a severe enough sprain that he cannot jump or run on it.
I had a girls night out planned for the next day and couldn't help but feel conflicted at leaving him for the evening.
Lord V assured me he would be fine and that they were going to have a Mans night of pizza and movies while I was out--so I left him in good hands.
I had a great time with my girlfriends and came back Saturday morning thoroughly exhausted.
I lay around most of the day recuperating and feel no ill effects today from the busy weekend.
I don't know if it's something that comes with getting older--but it seems to take me a few days after I step out of my routine to feel normal again.
I feel, strange. Disjointed. Happy...but scrambled up inside.
Does this happen to you?
One more thing:
Heading back home after dropping MiniWarrior off at his Dads this Saturday--there was a huge hawk sitting on the railroad tracks by our house.
I only had my iPhone to capture a picture of him. He looks small because of the phone camera's tiny eye. It was quite something to see him just sitting there staring at me!

Blue Claws by Soft Claws
I took Guido to Petco the other day and had nail caps put on his claws--to prevent him from scratching at the furniture.
Doesn't he look grand? (LOL)
ps. they really work wonderfully and its a great alternative to declawing (ouch).

Alternative Fuel
Dear President Obama,
I hear that you are financially awarding people for viable alternative fuel ideas.
Well prepare to pony up my man because I've got the solution.
No Sir, I am the solution.
What's my idea?
The golden goose of inspiration?
Fat pods.
That's right.
Fat. Pods.
*grips my belly rolls*
I am the golden goose of alternative fuel.
Hook me up to a liposuction machine and I guarantee you'll suck out enough fat fuel to run a non economy sized SUV for a year.
That's right.
A year.
You can direct deposit the award money to my account.
And can you make it quick?
There's a family sized bag of cheeto's callin' my name and Momma's got a hunger.
Sincerely,
GGOAF

Mr. Guido
I was outside capturing Springtime river images with Chanda (you can see them HERE)when Lord V bellowed out the door that Mr. Guido had escaped.
I took advantage of Mr. Guido's house escape and turned Chanda on him.
He saw me coming and ducked beneath his favorite hiding bush.

I lowered Chanda to ground level and took a blind photo shot.

On The Mend
It appears that we shall live after all.
Lord V was down for the count with this lung/cold/flu ailment as well but he appears to be mending.
Our home echos with the sound of our coughs--not unlike the sound of feeding time at the Seal caverns.
True love means listening to your loved one bark like a seal, shuffle around in 3 day old PJ's with hair protruding from ones head in SciFi angles--and still finding the sight of them makes your heart warm and your insides smile.

Hey Buddy, Can You Spare A Lung?
5 days and counting--I've been stricken with a nasty chest/head cold.
I spent my entire weekend cloistered in house working on removing my lungs out from under my rib cage--
one.hacking.cough.at.a.time.
I've managed to spread my plague to Lord V.
What's love if you can't share everything?
HM?
Good times, Peeps. Good times.

A Tease...Cuz Jadey Whined :)
I took a pic on our trip to the Gorge with my iPhone.
The wind was so strong it almost whipped the phone from my hand!

Chanda Goes To The Gorge
I took a much needed half day off of work yesterday.
It was a luscious 70+ degrees outside so I packed Chanda's bag and Lord V and I piled into his little convertible and took off to the Columbia Gorge.
It's been awhile since I've been to the Gorge, even though its only 35 miles East of our home. A lot of the scenic views are now obstructed by massive tree growth which made taking pictures a bit tricky.
Lord V was very sweet and zoomed off to multiple outlets on the road so I could clamber out and snap pictures. Most of the pictures I ended up taking was in the little town of Stevenson.
A quaint picturesque town. There was this massive tree growing up against a auto parts store that had been painted a vivid royal blue. A stunning sight to see.
My eyes were too tired after our trip to do much photo editing--so I will attempt to upload some of Chanda's pics tonight or tomorrow.
It was such a relaxing time.
*sigh*

Hurrah for Sunshine!!
After months of grey soggy days--
The sun is here!
30 more minutes of work and then I'm off to frolic in it :)
I snapped some pictures (with my iPhone) during my lunchtime.
Go HERE if you wish to share in my joy.
*big happy grin*
