I found him this morning and we buried him.

Guido
We lost Guido last night.
He snuck out of the house and was attacked by coyotes.
I found him this morning and we buried him.

I'm sad to hear about the loss of your cat. Some cats are just so hard to keep indoors! I hope you will have a new familiar soon to replace Guido.
